I am beyond honored—and still a bit speechless—to share that I’ve been nominated for the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 Emerging Leader of the Year Award. I am beyond honored—and still a bit speechless—to share that I’ve been nominated for the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 Emerging Leader of the Year Award. This award celebrates individuals under 40 who demonstrate exceptional leadership, community involvement, and a drive to create positive change—and to even be considered among that group is incredibly humbling.

As someone who was born and raised in Williamsburg, this community has always been part of my story. From my very first professional job here to building and growing my own business, Piper Creative, the Greater Williamsburg area has shaped my values, my vision, and my work. It’s where I’ve found my purpose: helping small businesses thrive through creative web and graphic design solutions.

Leadership, to me, is about showing up every day with intention, curiosity, and care. It’s about listening as much as leading. It’s about building others up, making space for innovation, and using your voice to uplift the community around you. That’s the spirit I bring to every project, every conversation, and every connection.

I’ve had the privilege of serving on the Chamber’s Membership Committee and chairing the Williamsburg Craft Beer Festival, where we’ve raised over $300,000 and donated nearly $100,000 to local charities in just three years. It’s proof of what we can accomplish when we come together with purpose—and it’s only the beginning.

To be recognized for this kind of work by the Greater Williamsburg Chamber, in the place I call home, means more than I can express. Thank you for the nomination—it’s made my year.
