Meet Alex.

Founder and designer of Piper Creative, Alex has been working in the graphic design industry for over 13 years. Originally starting in a small agency setting, Alex adapted quickly to juggling the demands of multiple clients and multitasking. Alex then made a shift in her career and accepted an in-house position after moving to Colorado, where she excelled to expand and push the creative confinements of a global brand and its sub-brands. 2 promotions and 6 years later Alex decided to return to Virginia and venture out on her own. Piper Creative Studio was born. The studio's main focus is branding for small businesses. Piper Creative is passionate about setting up new businesses for success from the geko and redirecting existing businesses to get on track for success both visually and strategically. We start with branding, logo, and web design, then move on to all the things that are required for business marketing, both print and digital.

Alex was born and raised in the Williamsburg area and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Visual Communications Design from Virginia Tech in 2009. She is a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts, Squarespace Circle, the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce, is on its Membership Committee, and is also the Chair of the Williamsburg Craft Beer Festival. Alex is a single mother to a vibrant 6-year-old, who keeps her on her toes and is the joy of her life. She loves anything outdoors, especially with her daughter and dog, Piper, who is an 11-year-old rescued mutt. She enjoys a healthy lifestyle with hiking, camping, swimming, running, and skiing. In addition, Alex has always had a passion for community, service, cooking, photography, and the arts.

The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak.
